Accountant- Accounts Receivable

Our healthcare client in Dorchester, MA, is seeking an experienced Accountant with a background in the medical field to join their team. The ideal candidate will have expertise in full-cycle accounting with a strong focus on accounts receivable.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree in Accounting required
- 3-4 years full cycle accounting experience required
- General Ledger, Posting Journal Entries, Account reconciliation processing adjusting charges and contracts to net receivables, and recognized revenue required
- MS Office, Advanced Excel, MS Dynamics required
- Experience in health care including medical billing, and claims reimbursement required
Responsibilities:
- Reconcile charges, adjustments, and denials with Athena, Dentrix, and the general ledger (GL).
- Prepare detailed financial reports, including monthly collection reports, cash flow statements, and quarterly revenue analyses by insurance and department.
- Monitor accounts for nonpayment, delayed payments, and irregularities, ensuring compliance with A/R aging reviews.
- Generate aging analyses and maintain up-to-date records in the general ledger and subsidiary ledgers.
- Process credit card payments and maintain accurate schedules of accounts receivable.
- Manage and process medical and dental charges
- Post daily collections, including checks, electronic payments, and other transactions.
- Calculate and post contractual adjustments, global adjustments, and insurance denials.
- Assist in audits and preparation of work papers, UFRs, and financial statements.
