We have an exciting position open within Caterpillar as an Accounting Associate for the Americas Distribution & Service Division. Caterpillar provides exciting opportunities for accountants who want to be challenged and are interested in being part of the world's leading manufacturer of construction and mining equipment, off-highway diesel and natural gas engines, industrial gas turbines and diesel-electric locomotives. In this role, you will have the opportunity within the Global Service team of Americas Distribution & Service Division to provide financial analysis and financial support to leadership while also collaborating with business partners in execution of the divisional strategy.

What You Will Do:

  • Preparing/posting entries, verifying and reconciling input to financial reporting systems
  • Presentation and explanation of monthly results to key leadership stakeholders
  • Use of business systems/tools including, but not limited to Axiom, Power BI, etc.
  • Upon request, take part in special projects and ad hoc reporting requests
  • Create and utilize automated tools to drive efficiency to support scale of the business functions and accurate financial results
What You Have:
  • Education/Experience: Bachelor's Degree in - Accounting or Finance.
  • Accuracy and Attention to Detail: Understanding the necessity and value of accuracy; ability to complete tasks with high levels of precision.
  • Financial Analysis: Knowledge of tools and approaches of financial analysis; ability to read, interpret and draw accurate conclusions from financial and numerical material.
  • Analytical Thinking: Knowledge of techniques and tools that promote effective analysis; ability to determine the root cause of organizational problems and create alternative solutions that resolve these problems.
  • Effective Communications: Understanding of effective communication concepts, tools and techniques; ability to effectively transmit, receive, and accurately interpret ideas, information, and needs through the application of appropriate communication behaviors.
  • Managing Multiple Priorities: Knowledge of effective self-management practices; ability to manage multiple concurrent objectives, projects, groups, or activities, making effective judgments as to prioritizing and time allocation.
Top Candidates Will Have:
  • Experience in closing, budgeting and forecasting.
  • Strong Excel experience.
Additional Details:
  • Location: preferred location is Peoria, IL or Irving, TX
  • This role is a full time, hybrid position and currently requires 3 days a week in office
  • Domestic relocation assistance is available for those who qualify
Summary Pay Range:
$79,800.00 - $119,760.00
Compensation and benefits offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, job level, market location, job-related knowledge, skills, individual performance and experience. Please note that salary is only one component of total compensation at Caterpillar.
