The Accreditation Officer 3 (AO3) is responsible for implementing the administrative aspects of the accreditation strategies developed by the Director. This will include the monitoring of and operationalization of policies and procedures, conducting regulatory audits and drills, monitoring compliance and assisting with continual survey readiness. The AO3 will work directly with members of the faculty and staff to ensure the provision of high-quality patient care while ensuring regulatory compliance for their assigned areas of responsibility within the University Hospital provider number. The position works collaboratively with the other members of the Accreditation team of University Hospital.
Position Summary
The AO3 is responsible for the day-to-day operations of University Hospital accreditation. The AO3 will:
Review and analyze laws, regulations, and accreditation standards to determine operational impact
Prepare documents and reports related to policies and procedures, accreditation, and regulatory functions
Monitor University Hospital compliance for accreditation to include The Joint Commission, CAP, ODH, CMS, and others as determined appropriate.
Distributes pertinent information by working closely with other Accreditation Team members.
Minimum Requirements
Master's Degree in Nursing or a Healthcare related field or equivalent combination of education and experience.
4 years of relevant experience required. 4-8 years of relevant experience preferred.
