Prairie State College is seeking an energetic Anthropology instructor to teach Cultural Geography in person at Rich High School STEM Campus in Olympia Fields, IL for Spring 2025. This is an opportunity to work with great students on a college level but in a high school setting. The right candidate will have the opportunity to teach more classes at the main PSC campus in the future.

Candidates will be responsible for effectively preparing, teaching, grading, and assessing student learning and collaborating with the Dean and other colleagues to improve the student learning experience. Candidates should also be highly competent in a variety of technology-based programs related to student instruction and be comfortable with teaching in the online setting.

• Master's Degree in anthropology or related field, or Master's Degree with 18 hours in the discipline.

• Expertise in appropriate technologies for instruction.

• Excellent interpersonal, oral, and written communication skills

• Commitment to the mission of the community college

• Ability to support the Prairie State College general education learning outcome areas of Communication, Creative Thinking, Cultural Understanding, Information Literacy, and Problem Solving.

• Teaching experience at the collegiate level.

• Teaching experience at the community college level.

• Credentialed to teach in the online format.

• Experience with traditional and non-traditional students from diverse backgrounds.
