About this opportunity:
Cenovus is looking for an Advisor, SCM US Downstream Operations at our Toledo, Ohio, refinery. Reporting to the Manager, Toledo Refinery, SCM US Downstream Operations, the incumbent in this role will provide procurement related services to multiple US refinery partners including a) maintenance, b) operations, and c) business development. The position will display procurement expertise demonstrating extensive knowledge of commodity products, supply chain sources, procurement strategies and business process/procedures.
What you'll do:
- Source various Toledo services and materials applying Cenovus Sourcing Practice including all required strategy, award and contract documentation.
- Assembles and reviews relevant RFP documents for scope of work, performance requirements and delivery schedules considering all commercial aspects of Cenovus Energy internal procedures. Reconciliation of the commercial and technical proposal with the RFP requestor.
- Reviews and negotiates contract terms and conditions in collaboration with Cenovus Energy Legal Counsel, Risk Management, Maintenance, Operations, and Technical Services personnel, as necessary.
- Conduct post-award administration of contracts.
- Assist in the resolution of any Lima purchase requisition and purchase order issues / questions.
- Ensure SCM Toledo Refinery supports safety and a culture of accountability aspirations through the support of Contractor Safety Management practices.
Who you are: High School diploma or equivalent
3+ years of experience in a procurement environment
Must be legally entitled to work in United States of America
Preferred:
- University or post-secondary degree in SCM or relevant field of study
- Supply Chain Management Professional certification
- A background in oil and gas industry to understand the nature of work within an integrated oil and gas company
- Experience in refinery operations
- Ability to work at ease with team members, partners, suppliers, and legal counsel
- Strong working knowledge of MS Office Applications
- Knowledge of Procure to Pay (P2P) lifecycle processes
- Sourcing Options Selection and Management
- Negotiation and Contract Award
- Supplier Performance Management
- Reporting of SCM Information
