Job Title: Aerospace Systems Engineer

Location: Hazelwood, MO

About the Job: As an Aerospace Systems Engineer, you will apply an interdisciplinary, collaborative approach to plan, design, develop, and verify complex lifecycle balanced systems of systems and solutions. You will evaluate customer and operational needs to define and coordinate system performance requirements, integrate technical parameters, and ensure compatibility of all physical, functional, and program interfaces. Your role will involve performing various analyses to optimize total system architecture and ensure mission success.

Responsibilities:

• Plan, design, develop, and verify complex systems of systems and solutions.
• Evaluate customer and operational needs to define system performance requirements.
• Integrate technical parameters and ensure compatibility of all interfaces.
• Perform analyses for affordability, safety, reliability, maintainability, testability, human systems integration, survivability, vulnerability, susceptibility, system security, regulatory compliance, certification, and product assurance.
• Develop, maintain, and improve requirements management processes, tools, risk management, issue resolution, opportunity management, and technology readiness assessment processes.
• Resolve cross-functional technical issues.

Minimum Qualifications:

• Experience with MIL-HDBK-516C, AC 17-01, and MIL-STD-882E.
• Familiarity with agile development frameworks.
• Experience with flight-critical hardware, software, and firmware development.
• Experience developing LRU level requirements and supporting requirements development for hardware, firmware, and software at all levels of the specification tree.
• Experience with requirements validation and verification.
• Experience with Verification Cross Reference Matrix development and associated tools (e.g., DOORS).
• Experience developing LRU test environment requirements and integrating with units under test.
• Experience planning, organizing, implementing, and monitoring SEIT activities.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Systems Engineering, Computer Science, or a related technical field.
• Master's degree or PhD in a related technical field.
• Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
