Aircraft Painter

Greenville, SC

Contract Position

Our Support in Greenville, South Carolina site is the home of the F-16 Fighting Falcon production line and provides nose-to-tail aircraft modification, maintenance, repair and overhaul services for both military and civil aircraft. For more than 35 years, the site has provided world-class and affordable sustainment services to thousands of aircraft, such as the C-130, P-3, KC-10, and C-9.

Responsibilities:

• Apply coatings such as paint, lacquer, epoxy, and resin to aircraft surfaces using brushes, rollers, and spray guns.
• Remove old paint using liquid remover and scrapers, and prepare surfaces by sanding and roughening for paint adherence.
• Mask and cover surfaces not to be painted, and apply stencils for insignia, letters, and numerals.
• Perform RAM coating and various other tasks related to aircraft painting and finishing.

Qualifications:

• Experience:
  • 2-4 years in aircraft media blasting and painting, including preparation and finishing.
  • Proficiency in reading and interpreting paint drawings for aircraft stencils.
  • Skilled in proper painting techniques, mixing ratios, paint viscosity, and identification of unacceptable finishes.
• Technical Requirements: Must be able to wear a respirator and be willing to work with Plastic Media Blasting.
• Clearance: Must be eligible to work in the U.S.
