Overview
This position plays a role in making sure quality, chemical compliance, and product safety are a part of every decision in the product development and production process. They are accountable to ensure all products manufactured and shipped to Knights Apparel (KA) warehouse facilities meet all Quality Testing Program performance standards as well as national/international regulatory compliance standards. Responsible to determine and implement our customer quality expectations. This position is held accountable to communicate all quality concerns/issues with departments Merchandising, Design, and Sourcing, as applicable.
Essential Duties
Quality: Testing
- Active role in quality testing program and testing initiatives.
- Complete all customer testing requirements
- Complete Walmart required testing for all internal styles
- Follow up with decorators to ensure regulatory testing is completed as required
- Work directly with Country Office staff to ensure they are following up on the testing with each factory and communicating/consulting the US Office on test results
- Review and determine acceptability of test reports and tested samples.
- Actively manage an Internal Wear Testing Program to effectively influence quality product development and manufacturing decisions.
- Review and approve top of production (TOP) garments.
Quality: CPSIA Requirements: Procedure Management
- Work with Country Office Staff to ensure CPC's/GCCs are completed for all style/po# product shipments
Quality: Testing Program Manuals
- Ensure that testing program manual and appendices are correct and up to date
- Additional job duties and responsibilities as applicable to the management of the quality program at Licensed Sports Apparel.
Qualifications
- BS in Apparel and Textiles or related field of study
- Knowledge of Textile testing
- Knowledge of garment construction and sewing
- Knowledge of Word, Excel, and Outlook
