Position Summary

Preparation of media and sub-solutions.

Hours: 1st shift, 6:30am - 3:00pm. Overtime, weekends, and holidays may be required.

Position Responsibilities

Preparation and filtration of media and solutions. Proficient use of aseptic technique, metric system, record keeping, use of laboratory equipment, performance of laboratory duties. Follow specifications required in batch records and Standard Operating Procedures.

Education and Experience

High school degree or equivalent required. Two years post-secondary education with biological coursework desirable. Preference given to applicants with relevant experience in biological production and/or aseptic manufacturing.

Technical Skills and Competencies Required

Basic mechanical and troubleshooting skills. Good communication and interpersonal skill. Computer skills and working knowledge of metric system.

Physical Position Requirements

Exposure to chemicals, fumes, odors, noise, live steam, temperature fluctuations, biohazards, continuous standing

and lifting to a maximum of 50 lbs. Weekend and holiday work may be required.
