SUMMARY
Work with the Finance and Accounting Teams to provide comprehensive and accurate information, primarily financial in nature, about all company activities, to assist management, its shareholders and other users, in making educated economic decisions about the company's future.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
Assist with preparation of monthly management accounts and financial reporting packages (US GAAP and IFRS).
Perform month end closing activities including the review of operating company and divisional submissions.
Assist in monthly balance sheet reviews to ensure proper reconciliation and supporting documentation
Conduct routine communication with business unit leaders and key partners relating to financial close, issues and deliverables, and other relevant financial matters.
Prepare for and respond to internal and external audit requests.
Preparation of ad-hoc financial analysis and reporting for senior management.
Research and resolve complex business inquiries for responsible business units.
Prepare annual budgets and monthly forecasting as required.
Identify and implement process improvement and automation opportunities to increase productivity that optimize data efficiency and quality.
Work with construction lines of business (i.e., work in progress, job cost, etc.).
Manage all aspects of inventory accounting

QUALIFICATIONS

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
Bachelor's degree (B.A.) from four-year college or university in accounting, finance, economics or related field.
4 years of experience in general finance, accounting
Previous relevant experience in an operations/manufacturing environment preferred.
Construction experience is a plus but not required.
Proficient with Windows, Outlook, Excel, Word and PowerPoint
Hyperion experience preferred but not required.
Proven analytical skills
Ability to demonstrate initiative
LANGUAGE SKILLS
Ability to read, analyze, and interpret common technical journals, financial reports, and legal documents. Ability to respond to common inquires or complaints from customers, regulatory agencies, or members of the business community. Ability to effectively present information to top management, public groups, and/or boards of directors. Capable of communicating effectively and professionally at all levels of the organization.
MATHEMATICAL SKILLS
Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume. Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry.
REASONING ABILITY
Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions. Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram from and deal with several abstract variables.
