Job Title:Associate Director, C4N Imaging OperationsDepartment:Medicine | Psychiatry

Asst. Director of Research Operations in the Department of Psychiatry working in partnership with the College of Medicine (COM) Center for Clinical Research Management Center (CCRM); directs and oversees the administrative, operational, research & patient care activities of clinical research in assigned research teams within the C4N Imaging Center. Directly supervises projects within C4N across multiple teams. Participates with C4N leadership in the short- and long-term strategic planning activities. Manages relationships with external sponsors, external and internal collaborators, clinical investigators, ORRP, CCRM and COM research office as they relate to C4N operations. Disseminates plans and directives to PI's and their teams to effectively and efficiently carry out strategic activities to meet established goals and objectives. Serves as key leader and advisor to PI's and their team members. Audits and evaluates study activities to identify non-compliance, deficiencies, and quality improvement areas. Plans and oversees new and/or revised policies and procedures to address quality assurance issues and to meet requirements of new research protocols. Directs and oversees supervision, coaching and evaluation of all staff in assigned teams. Develops and maintains onboarding and training material as well as encourages and provides ongoing education and professional development. Develops and implements processes among clinical research staff for all trial-related activities including documentation patient consenting and follow-up as well as reporting adverse events. Monitors and ensures compliance with university, state, federal, sponsor and industry rules, regulations, policies and procedures.

Minimum Required Qualifications: Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience. Advanced degree may be required. 7 years of relevant experience required. 12 or more years of relevant experience preferred. ACRP (Assn of Clinical Research Professionals) or SOCRA (Society of Clinical Research Associates) certification required and must be maintained.


Additional Education Desired Master's Degree or equivalent combination of education and experience. Extensive experience in a clinical research capacity conducting clinical studies required considerable experience in research administrative or management capacity required supervisory experience required knowledge of clinical research regulatory rules policies and processes at local state and federal levels required understanding of clinical trials data management preferred.
