Job Description Summary
As an Associate Director, Customer Insights, you will be responsible for leading development and evolution of Insights and data-driven decision making across BD. This role will be responsible for leading Insights programs and implementing both primary & secondary research to derive integrated, advanced insights to inform the business decisions and Innovation programs for assigned business units. The individual will have to actively bring voice of customers into consideration and promote external orientation.

The primary responsibilities of this role, are to:

• Lead Insights and Analytics agenda that enables the achievement of BD long-term success
• Develop best in class approach for programs focused on understanding unmet customer needs and formulate opportunity areas.
• Partner with Business Unit, Region and Functional leaders (Marketing, R&D, Business Development) to build and deliver actionable learning plans with clear understanding of business issues
• Provide foresight by anticipating how market growth drivers will influence future business strategies
• Lead the process of translating and communicating customer insights in the development of business decisions and strategies
• Communicate objective, in-depth, and actionable insights and recommendations to key business partners and stakeholders via reports, compelling presentations, and ad-hoc meetings
• Stay informed of market best practices and new approaches and act as a thought leader for Insights within BD

SKILL SET

• Advanced proficiency in Market Research design and execution
• Deep understanding and experience with human-centered design Innovation frameworks (e.g. Design Thinking)
• Ability to challenge the status quo by utilizing data and insights penetrating beneath the numbers to bring strategic focus to BD business platforms
• Proficient at leveraging multiple forms of reporting including "story telling", infographics, dashboards to communicate complex data and insights derived from research
• Strategic thought-leadership
• Ability to effectively work at all levels of the organization across businesses and functions
• Manage multiple projects effectively at the same time
• Entrepreneurial and creative mindset
• Leadership through influence
• Analysis and interpretation of data through a commercial lens
• Relationship-building and emotional intelligence

Experience & Education

• Bachelor's degree required; MBA preferred.
• 10+ years of experience in a strategic Insights and analytics roles
• 5+ years of experience in Innovation oriented roles
• Experience with conducting primary and secondary market research
• Experience in conducting Ethnographic research
• Experience in analytic (analytic methods such as, but not limited to - Volumetric Forecasting, MMA, TURF, Max-Diff, Choice-based methods)
• Research methodology experience with segmentation, pricing, messaging, A&Us, etc.
• Experience in managing Insights vendors
• Preferred industry experience in medical devices, pharmaceuticals or OTC
• Preferred global research experience

$154,700.00 - $255,200.00 USD Annual
