Background:

The i-Learning Center is part of Online programs and Extension at the College of Veterinary Medicine. Its mission is to bridge the gap between academic knowledge and community needs by providing accessible education to foster lifelong learning. The i-Learning Center provides a range of online and in-person educational workshops, courses, and programs to enhance knowledge and skills in animal health. Specifically, it aims to facilitate the transition of veterinary medicine into the digital era by aiding individuals and businesses through developing the knowledge and skills necessary to thrive in an economy driven by advanced technologies.

Roles and Responsibilities:

Teaching 70%

1. Lead the development and delivery of courses for degree and non-degree courses.

a. Guide program faculty on establishing learning objectives based on industry knowledge gaps and assessment plans to meet learning objectives.

b. Establish a comprehensive assessment plan at the programmatic and course level.

c. Evaluate learner outcomes at the end of courses and make pedagogical recommendations to achieve best results and learner experience.

Administrative 30%

2. Lead the development and implementation of non-credit educational programs.

a. Oversee and manage the day-to-day activities of people on the course development and implementation team including annual reviews, goal setting, and promoting their professional growth.

3. Work as a member of the OP&E leadership team to:

a. Determine strategic direction and budget management

b. Support the broader goal of economic development

c. Determine staffing needs and job requirements for educational staff

3. An entrepreneurial spirit to seek opportunities and develop solutions for others' problems

5. A track record of building educational experiences that create meaningful, positive job outcomes for learners

Experience and Educational Background:

• Required

o Experience in higher education developing and implementing assessment plans.

o Experience in higher education in curriculum planning, course evaluations, and course development.

o A BS/BA

o Supervisory experience

• Preferred

o Experience working with adult learners

o Experience in designing, developing and delivering online courses in higher education.

o An advanced degree in a related field.

Appointment Information:

This is a 100% full-time Academic Professional position, appointed on a 12-month basis. The expected start date is as soon as possible after close date. The budgeted salary range for this position is $75,000- $85,000. Final salary offered will be determined by a thorough assessment of available market data, internal salary equity, candidate experience and qualifications, and budget constraints.
