POSITION SUMMARY
We are seeking a detail-oriented and highly organized Benefits Leave Specialist to temporarily join our Human Capital Benefits Team. The ideal candidate will have an understanding of leave administration, including FMLA, ADA, and other state-specific leave laws. This role requires impeccable attention to detail, excellent verbal and written communication skills, and the ability to manage timely and sensitive requests with professionalism and empathy.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
• Manage and reply to leave requests, including FMLA, ADA accommodations, short-term and long-term disability, parental leave, and other company-specific leave programs.
o Serve as the Tier 1 support/contact for employees regarding leave-related inquiries
o Provide clear and concise information to employees navigating the leave process.
• Complete weekly timekeeping reports for employees on leave.
• Accurately track leave usage via our leave management system and coordinate absences with leave vendor and Leave Case Managers.
QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS
• Bachelor's degree (or equivalent experience)
• Minimum of 1 year in benefits administration with leave administration.
• Experience with HRIS, payroll and leave management systems (e.g., Workday, ADP, or similar).
• Remote availability; Must be able to work normal business hours on an eastern time schedule.
SKILLS AND PERSONAL ATTRIBUTES
• Knowledge of leave administration terminology and compliance requirements.
• Attention to detail and accuracy in managing sensitive information.
o Excellent verbal and written communication skills; effectively respond to employee inquiries with empathy and discretion.
• A collaborative team player with a proactive approach to work.
• Ability to handle confidential information with discretion.
• Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, including Outlook, Excel, and Word.
