RESPONSIBILITIES:
Kforce has a client that is seeking a BI Analyst in Scottsdale, AZ.Key Responsibilities:- BI Analyst performs validation on incoming data files, resolves data quality issues, and coordinates preventative measures/corrective actions with the appropriate vendors or internal teams when errors are present
- Maintains an operational standard of excellence ensuring timely and accurate preparation and delivery of all operational reporting
- Designs programmatic methods (automation) for reporting processes to ingest, clean, process, test, and export data; The BI Engineer designs and implements methods for Azure data architecture, improving data processing, accuracy, and reporting; Partners with our Azure vendor and is the point of contact for a BI platform build/data warehouse
- Owns the design and development of automated solutions for recurring reporting and in-depth analysis
- As a BI Analyst, you will respond to inquiries for ad-hoc data deep dive analysis and presents findings
- Investigates and diagrams processes, identifies opportunities for improvement, recommends and engineers a solution
- Responsible for data governance best practices documenting data assets, data definitions, and all artifacts associated with the data ecosystem. Publishes this information to users.

REQUIREMENTS:
- Bachelor's degree in Statistics, Data Analytics, Business Intelligence, or a STEM related field; Related work experience can be substituted for educational requirement
- 5+ years of prior analytical experience, preferably within the insurance industry
- 5+ years of writing complex T-SQL and DAX queries
- 5+ years in ETL design using Azure Data Factory, Synapse, Databricks, and Apache Spark
- 5+ years of designing self-serve reporting environments and automated report deployment through PowerBI
- 5+ years of developing presentation quality dashboards within Power BI and Tableau
- 5+ years in MS Access VBA forms design, leveraging VBA for data cleaning and processing, Excel VBA is a plus
- Experience detailing business process and data flow process diagrams in MS Visio, identifying opportunities, and recommending solutions for opportunities identified
- Clear understanding of logical database design and physical database structures
- Experience with Microsoft Fabric, Python, Cloud, and R language software and systems is a plus
- Knowledge and experience of Relational Database Management System, Azure Data Lakehouse experience is a plus
The pay range is the lowest to highest compensation we reasonably in good faith believe we would pay at posting for this role. We may ultimately pay more or less than this range. Employee pay is based on factors like relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, location, performance, union contract and business needs. This range may be modified in the future.
We offer comprehensive benefits including medical/dental/vision insurance, HSA, FSA, 401(k), and life, disability & ADD insurance to eligible employees. Salaried personnel receive paid time off. Hourly employees are not eligible for paid time off unless required by law. Hourly employees on a Service Contract Act project are eligible for paid sick leave.
