If you know facilities management including construction maintenance and all facets of facilities operations, this is a fantastic opportunity to join the Property and Facilities team at the global leader in implantable hearing devices! In this role, you will be based in our Americas head office in Lone Tree, CO. This role is 100% on-site with minimal travel to Texas.

Your success in this role is measured by executing responsibilities to include all matters of maintenance, vendor management, security, health, safety, and overall building, office, clinic, and warehouse environments management. This role will assure the effective functioning of the facilities to provide a safe working environment for employees, clients, partners, and visitors and their activities by using best practices to manage resources, services and processes to meet the needs of the company. Responsibilities also include planning and emergency management, leading the organization's fire safety, security planning and operations, lobby and visitor management for the Lone Tree facility, and mail and shipping operations. This role is the key liaison for Cochlear's on-site food service partner and building management companies.

Key Responsibilities
  • Plan and manage the Lone Tree facility central services including reception, main switchboard, security, environmental services, mail services, catering/food services, waste disposal, and parking; manages security, environmental services, non-device mail services, waste disposal, and parking for Fulton. Provides support to clinic leaders for Texas clinics operations.
  • Interface with the landlords, property management, vendors, and acts as 24/7 emergency contact for security, safety, and building functions.
  • Develops, implements, and maintains facilities management programs including basic life and safety, preventative maintenance, and all life-cycle requirements.
  • Develops, implements and maintains safety policies and procedures to ensure compliance with local, state, and federal rules and regulations including Occupations Safety and Health Administration (OSHA), Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) and Department of Transportation (DOT).
  • Plans and manages an annual capital and operating budget as well as develops and implements cost reduction initiatives.
  • Manage contractor and vendor relationships. Administer vendor contracts and meet regularly with suppliers, contactors, and vendors to ensure contractual obligations are met and adjustments made as necessary.

Key Requirements

To add value to Cochlear in this role you'll be able to meet and demonstrate the following knowledge, skills and abilities in your application and at interview:
  • Bachelor's degree, trade journeyman, or equivalent education and experience.
  • 5-7 years of facilities management experience to include construction maintenance and all facets of facilities operations.
  • 3+ years of direct supervisory experience.
  • Working knowledge of principles and practices of business administration, finance, procurement and contracts with demonstrated project management experience.
  • Knowledge and application of health, safety, and environmental regulations including knowledge of OSHA and EPA standards along with knowledge and application of building security management.
  • Proven history working with electrical and mechanical systems.

  • Pay Range in the United States: $120,000 - $129,000 annually, based upon experience, as well as an annual bonus opportunity of 15% of base salary. Exact compensation may vary based on skills, experience, and location.
