SUMMARY

The Business Analyst - NextGen- Intermediate II position focuses on the coordination, planning and administration functions of the Federal Aviation Administrations (FAA) NextGen A1 office. This position will be in support of the Executive Team within the FAA's NextGen Organization and will also support the program and overall mission of the FAA's NextGen organization. This support will include, but is not limited to providing, business, administrative, scheduling and technical support.

ESSENTIAL REQUIREMENTS

Must be able to obtain FAA government public trust clearance.

KEY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Essential Duties and responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

Manages executive IOU's with respect to contract and task requirements, formalized milestones, resource development, goals, objectives and schedules.

Responsible for coordinating meetings, keeping track of calendar requests, and overseeing the day-to-day logistics of the executive team. May take the lead or co-lead in project-level groups and executive coordination.

Prepares, writes and edits a variety of correspondence in accordance with the FAA guidelines including spreadsheets, presentations and charts.

Maintains schedules in preparation for national and international meetings.

Coordinates video, telecommunications and meeting spaces.

Must be able/willing to take on challenges, execute in small windows of time, and work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.

Ability to efficiently multi-task and take direction easily, remaining flexible as support needs evolve.

Ability to maintain a flexible schedule and open to travel from 0-30% of the time, if required.

Responsible for keeping own immediate work area in a neat and orderly condition to ensure safety of self and co-workers. Will report any unsafe conditions and/or practices to the appropriate supervisor and human resources. Will immediately correct any unsafe conditions as the best of own ability.

Plans daily activities within the guidelines of company policy, job description and supervisor's instruction in such a way as to maximize personal output.

Responsible for aiding in own self-development by being available and receptive to all training made available by the company.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

Bachelor's degree and a minimum of five (5) years' relevant experience, or equivalent combination of education/experience.

OR

Associate's degree and a minimum of seven (7) years' relevant experience, or equivalent combination of education/experience.

JOB SPECIFIC KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS/ABILITIES

Ability to interact and communicate with all levels of staff, including executive management.

Ability to schedule, plan and lead meetings.

Working knowledge of MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.).

Skilled in facilitating teamwork and coordinating efforts for the successful achievement of goals.

Excellent verbal and written communications skills with solid presentation skills.

Exceptional customer service and relationship-building skills.

Exceptional organization skills with ability to manage multiple projects and priorities and to meet specified

deadlines.

Ability to appropriately raise issues and concerns for resolution.

Ability to effectively work both independently and in a team environment toward the successful achievement of goals.

Ability to maintain confidentiality of sensitive information.

LANGUAGE SKILLS

Ability to read, analyze and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures or governmental regulations. Ability to write reports, business correspondence and procedure manuals. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers and the general public.

MATHEMATICAL SKILLS

Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs.

REASONING ABILITY

Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram or schedule form.

Work is primarily performed in an office environment. Regularly required to sit. Regularly required use hands to finger, handle, or feel, reach with hands and arms to handle objects and operate tools, computer, and/or controls. Required to speak and hear. Occasionally required to stand, walk and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. Must frequently lift and/or move up to 10 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus. Exposed to general office noise with computers printers and light traffic.
