Summary: Under the supervision of Pathologists and Pathologists' Assistants, provides technical support for the Frozen section service in the operating room, triaging and processing of simple, noncomplex biopsy specimens, assistance in postmortem examinations, and may provide backup coverage for the Mohs Dermatology Laboratory.

Base salary range for this position is $64,772 - $74,135 annually which includes a comprehensive benefits package. This position also includes a geographic differential of $4.60 hourly for a total compensation range of $74,366 - $83,729 annually.

Qualifications:Required Education and Experience
License Requirement
1. Possession of a full license to practice as a Clinical Laboratory Technologist in the State of New York; or
2. Eligibility for full licensure as a Clinical Laboratory Technologist in the State of New York.

Education and Experience
Bachelor's degree in Clinical Laboratory Technology or a related health care discipline.

NOTE:
1. As a condition of continued employment, full license eligible incumbents must obtain and maintain the full Clinical Laboratory Technologist licensure in the State of New York within six (6) months of their appointment to this title.
2. Required degrees must have been granted by an accredited school, college or university or one recognized by Roswell Park Comprehensive Cancer Center as following acceptable educational practices.

Preferred Qualifications:

The preferred candidate has experience with sectioning fresh tissues on a cryostat, processing small, non-complex specimens that do not require sampling, and participation in evisceration techniques during postmortem examinations. Proficiency in Cerner and/or other relevant LIS systems is strongly desired. The ideal candidate will also have excellent communication skills, the ability to multitask, and working knowledge of Anatomical Pathology in a laboratory setting.
