Key Responsibilities:

Tropicana Brands Group is looking for a highly qualified Dispatch Coordinator to support the Supply Chain team to ensure the company's goals and initiatives are met.

This role will be responsible for he safe and efficient shift operation of 15 - 30 frontline inbound and outbound associates. Tropicana is looking for a critical thinker with exceptional communication, influencing and relationship management skills who thrives in a fast-paced environment.

Additional Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for the safe and efficient shift operation of 15 - 30 frontline inbound and outbound associates
  • Assist Shift Resource in accident investigations as needed; report timely any work-related illnesses and injuries that occur on the shift
  • Responsible for load allocation for 33 dock doors utilizing the WMS (Red Prairie)
  • Responsible for the troubleshooting of any order that fails allocation
  • Responsible for a smooth pallet flow throughout the entire conveying system and in the ASRS by utilizing the Wonderware and EMS programs
  • Document mechanical, system and operational downtime at the end of each shift
  • Manages replenishment maintenance through the Red Prairie Warehouse Management System (WMS); replacing damaged pallets on the loading dock
  • Investigate Over, Shorts & Damages (OS&Ds); report findings to Shift Resource
  • Ensure that the loading dock is clear of product after the shift. Report any product left on the loading dock to the Shift Resource
  • Work closely with Rail operations to ensure the right product inventory is in the house for successful order allocation
  • Work closely with the Order Pick Foreman to ensure partial quantities are picked for an order for successful order allocation
  • Work closely with the Clerk to ensure efficient loading by having trailers in doors and the correct inbound trucks for a successful order allocation
  • Work closely with the Yard Jockey for efficiency trailer movement in the truck yard
  • Coordinate with customer logistics and traffic to achieve customer service targets by reducing cuts and carrier wait times not to incur detention charges and achieve LSC metric to ensure RAD is met at the customer
  • Develop a sense of urgency on the shift by working with maintenance and all employees to reduce system, operational and mechanical downtime and minor stops
  • Communicate, enforce and meet all company and site safety practices
  • Enforce and maintain strict site GMPs and AIB regulations
  • Maintain a Diversity and Inclusion culture for all employees
  • Support and be an active member in the HSE Team
  • Team player by working closely with the in-coming and out-going shifts by providing solid handoffs and communications to ensure each shift in the operation is successful
  • Provide coverage to fill in for operations staff on all 3 shifts and when weekend work is needed
  • Knowledge of PIT, WMS, Conveyor Equipment and Inventory and Warehousing practices
  • Cover for the Shift Resource if the need arises, by developing an in-depth understanding of the dispatch function, truck dock operation, as well as the warehouse management systems

Requirements:

  • High School Diploma or GED
  • 1-2 years in a distribution or production environment
  • Demonstrated success leading teams
  • Ability to build and enhance morale

  • Ability to multi-task in a fast paced environment
  • Strong oral and written skills

Pay for this position is $27.88/hr
