This role is pivotal in administering the credentialing and re-credentialing activities within the team, ensuring all providers meet the necessary requirements for participation. Position Overview/Responsibilities for the Credentialing Coordinator:
- Support the overall provider credentialing and re-credentialing processes while maintaining standard turnaround times
- Monitor participating provider network for credentialing/re-credentialing deficiencies and take necessary action per the policies and procedures
- Prepare and execute outbound communications related to the credentialing events
- Support credentialing audits by preparing files for presentation to external clients
- Prepare reports on the status of credentialing activities
Required Skills for Credentialing Coordinator:
- High School Diploma
- 2-3 years of business experience with healthcare provider credentialing
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Products (Word, Excel, Access)
- Excellent communication skills (written/verbal)
- Ability to work well independently, under pressure, and multi-task
- Experience with operating systems such as EDW/Business Objects is preferred
