Under general supervision, designs and implements processes and solutions associated with a wide variety of data sets used for data/text mining, analysis to enable informed business decisions. Gains insight into key business problems and deliverables by applying statistical analysis techniques to examine structured and unstructured data from multiple disparate sources. Uses current and emerging technologies to evaluate trends and develop actionable insights and recommendations to management, via an increasing understanding of the business model and the information available for analysis.


Essential Functions

About the Team -

In this role, you will work as a business analyst for FedEx business domains, analyzing business and operational data to identify out-of-the-box opportunities, develop actionable insights, and make recommendations to management via understanding of the business model and information available for analysis. You will play a vital role in defining and advancing the organization's strategies and initiatives to deliver value. You will use data, statistical and quantitative analysis, basic modeling, and fact-based management to drive decision-making. You will collaborate closely with executive leadership and cross-functional teams to present facts to senior leadership that inform strategic initiatives within the business domain.


  • Design and implement processes for data/text mining and analysis.
  • Gain insights into key business problems by applying statistical analysis techniques to structured and unstructured data from various sources.
  • Utilize current technologies to evaluate trends and develop actionable insights and recommendations for management.
  • Employ data, statistical, and quantitative analysis, and support fact-based decision-making processes.
  • Assist in preparing and presenting findings and recommendations to executive leadership via presentation materials.
  • Enhance understanding of the business model and available data for analysis.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.


Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

  • Strong analytical skills: defining the right metrics to measure impact.
  • Knowledge of the FedEx business and the ability to perform fact-based data analysis.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, including creating executive-level reports and presentations.
  • Proficient in analytics software and applications (e.g., SQL, Python).
  • Good interpersonal and collaboration skills.


Minimum Education

Bachelor's degree in information systems, computer science, or a quantitative discipline such as mathematics, engineering, operations research, economics or Finance.

Minimum Experience

Two (2) years work experience in measurement and analysis, quantitative business problem solving, operations analysis, marketing analysis, simulation development and/or predictive analytics.


Domicile Information:

This position can be domiciled anywhere in the United States. The ability to work remotely within the United States may be available based on the business need. Preference is to be hybrid and to work at a FedEx office location.


Preferred Qualifications:  

Pay Transparency: This compensation range is provided as a reasonable estimate of the current starting salary range for this role across all potential locations. If this opportunity includes multiple job levels, the range is a reasonable estimate of the currentt starting salary for the lowest level to the current starting salary of the highest level. Actual starting pay would be determined by experience relative to the job, market level, pay at the location for this job and other job-related factors permitted by law. An employee may be eligible for additional pay, premiums, or bonus potential. The Company offers eligible employees health, vision and dental insurance, retirement, and tuition reimbursement.

Pay: U.S. Pay Range: $5,364.26/month - $9,476.86/month
