Diesel Mechanic/Technician
Location: Fairfield, OH 45014
Hours: Monday - Friday 7:00 am - 3:30 pm
Pay: $30 - $45/hr DOE

An industry leading provider of environmental and emergency vehicles and protective equipment is seeking a Diesel Mechanic/Technician to join their team, as their company is growing. This role will primarily be responsible for performing repairs and diagnostics on all equipment; customer owned, company owned, and those under warranty, both in-shop and at customer sites. As this position may also work directly with customers, we are looking for someone that can provide quality customer service, build a rapport with customers, and provide guidance to the sales team on potential sales opportunities.
Job Duties:
Builds knowledge of dealer supported product lines, service standards, and procedures and keeps abreast of all changes in various models of equipment sold and serviced by the distributor.
o Perform work as outlined on repair order with efficiency and accuracy, in accordance with Service shop and Factory standards.
o Vehicle inspection including factory warranty repairs, computer diagnostics and programming.
o Attend local, regional, and national service schools and training sessions as requested.
o Maintain a clean, safe, and professional work environment not only in-shop but also at customer sites.
o Utilize various equipment and tools to include, but not limited to hand tools, power tools, testing/diagnostic equipment, cranes and hoists.
o Foster close, positive working relationships with all service, parts and administrative personnel.
o Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
o 2-year Diesel Technician/Mechanic degree or equivalent experience.
o Minimum 3 years working in a full-time technician/mechanic role on heavy duty chassis.
o Valid driver's license with acceptable driving record
o Hydraulic, pneumatic, and electrical experience
o Welding/cutting torch experience preferred
o Excellent skills in communication, interpersonal, organizational, and attention to detail
o Working usage of MS Office Suite and the ability to learn new technologies quickly.
