Director of Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A)

  • Must have experience with SaaS and M&A

Join our dynamic team as the Director of FP&A, where you will play a pivotal role in enhancing the transparency of reporting across the organization. You will be instrumental in guiding the company's business units and leadership team through your expertise in financial planning, analysis, and strategic reporting.

Core Responsibilities:

Financial Planning & Analysis:
  • Spearhead the annual budgeting process, ensuring a collaborative approach with department leaders to establish and oversee departmental financial plans.
  • Conduct thorough analysis of budget discrepancies, delivering insightful explanations and actionable recommendations.
Strategic Management Reporting:
  • Partner with the accounting team to refine variance analysis and adjust EBITDA calculations.
  • Regularly craft and deliver financial reports to both business unit heads and the executive team, accentuating critical SaaS metrics.
Mergers & Acquisitions (M&A) Financial Modeling:
  • Provide robust support to the M&A division by constructing pro forma financial statements and key SaaS performance indicators.
  • Engage with potential M&A entities to procure and scrutinize financial data, aiding in the composition of investment briefs.
Board, Investor, & Financial Institution Communications:
  • Facilitate the creation of financial documentation for board meetings on a quarterly basis.
  • Assemble comprehensive investor reporting dossiers each quarter.
  • Consistently supply Portside's lending institution with monthly financial statements and SaaS metrics.
  • Offer analytical support for ad-hoc projects and strategic company initiatives.
Candidate Profile:
  • A Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related discipline is required. A Master's degree or certifications such as CFA/CPA will be considered an asset.
  • A minimum of 6 years' experience in financial planning and analysis, or a comparable financial role.
  • Advanced skills in financial modeling, data analytics, and reporting.
  • Adept at analyzing complex data and solving intricate problems.
  • Outstanding abilities in communication and presentation, capable of conveying complex financial information clearly and persuasively.
