What we need:
The Director Design is a high-level leader that is responsible for overseeing design strategy, design development process, and a Design team that focuses on the creation of innovative color/design solutions. This role involves strategic planning, team management, and ensuring the delivery of high-quality design solutions that align with business goals and user needs.
What you'll do:
- Develop and implement a comprehensive design strategy aligned with overall business goals.
- Collaborate with executive leadership to integrate design into the broader organizational strategy.
- Collaborate with product management, engineering, marketing, and other departments to ensure alignment between design efforts and overall product and business goals.
- Collaborate with management to implement best practices.
- Oversee the planning, execution, and delivery of design projects.
- Ensure projects are on schedule, within scope, and meet the highest quality standards.
- Stay informed about industry trends, emerging technologies, and design innovations.
- Integrate relevant design trends into the organization's design approach.
- Ensure the highest quality and consistency of design deliverables.
- Implement robust design review processes and quality assurance measures.
- Perform other duties as needed.
What you have: - Bachelor's degree in a related field preferred.
- 10+ years' relevant experience OR equivalent combination of education and experience.
- 5+ years of management experience.
- Technical knowledge of roto-gravure printing, digital printing, and flooring production processes preferred.
- For colorist-specific role, must be able to pass a colorblind test.
