The Portfolio Lead is responsible for the management of their strategy roadmap within the organization and works with the business and technical leadership to identify ways to drive forward the delivery of the prioritized strategic roadmap initiatives.

The Portfolio Lead is responsible for the management and oversight of the projects in their assigned portfolio. Portfolio Leads, while on a specific initiative, manage project managers, vendors, LOB and IT partners to achieve desired outcomes.

Responsibilities Include:

  • Manage strategic initiatives across a complex organizational structure to ensure project delivers expected outcome, on time, on budget, on scope, with quality and adhering to established Program and Project Management methodologies.
  • Develops, facilitates, and executes comprehensive project plans and schedules, vendor-related agreements, requirements' gathering sessions, daily/weekly stand ups, and executive reporting.
  • Serves as the primary client interface for project requirements, schedule, scope, changes, and budget.
  • Develops project governance and communication plans and directs communication with executive sponsor/project owner as well as other leaders; manages and leads all project communications with internal/external stakeholders. Ensures minutes/decisions are captured, risks and issues are tracked, mitigated, resolved and/or escalated as appropriate.

  • Gathers requirements leveraging an analytical mindset to uncover and solve for downstream impacts, definition of project scope and objectives, involving all relevant stakeholders and ensuring technical feasibility.
  • Establishes and maintains relationships with stakeholders and internal partners.
  • Responsible for the project plan, budget, implementation, monitoring, control and close. Takes accountability for project execution. As part of this, is responsible to manage risks, quality and procurement.
  • Accountable for proactive notification and management of change(s), issue(s) and risk(s); as well as mitigation and contingency planning.
  • Tracks project performance, specifically to analyze the successful completion of short and long-term goals.
  • Supports project reporting and documentation processes; delivers status reports and analysis for leadership on an on-going basis.
  • Creates and maintains comprehensive project documentation ensuring project practices, processes and documentation meet all quality and auditable standards and all artifacts are maintained in an organized library.
Education, Experience & Skills Requirements
  • 8-10 years of experience in program and project management.
  • Bachelor's degree in Business or related field
  • Big picture thinking and selling the vision.
  • Effective communication skills at all levels.
  • Excellent written, verbal problem solving, use of situational thinking and facilitation skills.
  • Constant risk management mindset.
  • Capable of multitasking in high paced, pressured environment.
  • Ability to influence and align cross functional team members to achieve a higher business results.
  • Proven thought leadership capabilities, creative thinking skills, ability to quickly drive change.
  • Effective conflict resolution
  • Ability to make difficult and quick decisions on a daily basis.
  • Ability to influence a diverse group of stakeholders-strong leadership skills.
  • Competent in MS Office Suite
  • PMP Certification preferred
The estimated salary range for this position is $135,000USD to $155,000USD. Actual salary may vary up or down depending on job-related factors which may include knowledge, skills, experience, and location. In addition, this position is eligible for incentive compensation.
