Caterpillar's Remanufacturing Division is looking for a Distribution Operations Consultant that will develop, implement, and continuously improve all logistics processes to maximize efficiency and productivity.

This position will lead, manage and improve the Cat Reman core returns operational and system flows from international core processing facilities to Cat Reman plants and suppliers. This position has accountability for ensuring key performance indicators, and cost, velocity and quality targets are set and managed at 9 facilities. Develops, implements, and continuously improves all logistics processes to maximize efficiency and productivity by using large amounts of data to support data-driven business decisions.

Responsibilities

  • Applying process improvement tools and assisting with the implementation of efficient and competitive logistics solutions.
  • Coordinating with operations functions to define critical parameters and develop plans for process control and improvements.
  • Developing and maintaining the internal logistics process engineering standards, knowledge, and tools; Assuring their implementation in current and new operations.
  • Evaluating logistics processes and workflows, conducting root cause analysis, and implementing corrective actions for process-related concerns.
  • Support daily activities related to internal remanufacturing core inspection and shipping processes and related system transactions.
  • Identifies and implements process and system improvements to support changing business and compliance needs.
  • Partners with global transportation teams to provide the most cost-effective and efficient shipping solutions.
  • Ensures all related processes and systems comply with international customs compliance laws and regulations.
  • Gathers and analyzes relevant data from multiple sources to support the needs of the business.
  • Understanding software development process and having proficiency in SQL , PowerBI, and/or other data visualization tools.

This position can be located in the Corinth Mississippi facility or Mossville, IL facility.

Summary Pay Range:
$108,360.00 - $162,480.00
Compensation and benefits offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, job level, market location, job-related knowledge, skills, individual performance and experience. Please note that salary is only one component of total compensation at Caterpillar.
