Basic Job Functions:

The District Sales Manager Position will be responsible for a Sales Territory in Georgia and North Carolina Markets. You will be responsible to build/deepen relationships, develop/execute a territory strategy that is aligned with our Company Sales Strategy, that includes uncovering underserved customers and markets where steel within the major Nucor Skyline product groups is required. There will be milestones identified with the Regional Manager for the position that will include direct accountability for your personal growth as well as the growth of profitable customer relationships and market knowledge leading to the development of a steady flow of order inquiries. Responsibilities and characteristic being evaluated to ensure a successful transition of accounts and territory include but are not limited to:

• Building and maintaining strong and effective long-term relationships with customers in the territory.
• Ability to illustrate the value Nucor provides into business opportunities with a win-win service mindset
• Building the sales funnel with profitable orders. Specific duties include: Utilizing our supply chain and product offerings in developing inquiries; tracking inquiries and converting into orders; working with Supply Chain to source material; providing details and specifics about the offer that after converted to an order allow for a clear understanding and handoff for execution by our Project Management team.
• Managing customer base and orders to create an optimum mix of sales volume, gross profit and market share.
• Traveling regularly to interact with customer base and deepen relationships.
• Coordinating and interacting with the Business Development team to cultivate early design opportunities into preferential quoting opportunities
• Maintaining high visibility for Skyline Steel in the territory and provide ongoing market intelligence to the Regional Manager on market conditions, competition and upcoming projects
District Sales Managers are an integral part of the Skyline team. Successful candidates will bring a demonstrated track record of revenue growth, negotiation skills, and excellent in-person, verbal and written communication skills.

Position requires an individual to live within the territory.

Safety is the most important part of all jobs within Nucor; therefore, candidates must be able to demonstrate the ability to initiate, lead, and uphold safety policies, practices, procedures, and housekeeping standards at all times.

Minimum Qualifications:

1+ years sales experience in construction or steel industry or 6 months of Inside Sales or Project Manager experience at Nucor Skyline

Preferred Qualifications:

Sales experience in steel industry
• Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Construction Management, Engineering, Marketing, Management or related field
