The Division of Hematology-Oncology in the Department of Medicine at the Perelman School of Medicine at the University of Pennsylvania seeks candidates for an Associate or Full Professor position in the non-tenure academic clinician track. Expertise is required in the specific area of hematology/oncology. Applicants must have an M.D or M.D./Ph.D. degree. Candidates should be board certified or board eligible in hematology and oncology.
Teaching responsibilities may include teaching medical students, medical residents, and fellows. The academic clinician track requires 100 credits per year of active and high-quality teaching.
Clinical responsibilities may include care of patients with solod tumors, hematological malignancies or patients with non-malignant hematology disorders. Preferred candidates will have expertise in thoracic oncology. Candidates with expertise in other solid tumor oncology are welcomed. Patients will be seen in an outpatient and inpatient setting at Penn Presbyterian Medicine Center (PPMC).
Candidates should have strong administrative, clinical and teaching skills, and a commitment to the broad mission of the division fostering outstanding clinical operations, program development, and coordination across practice locations. The incumbent will lead the growing Division of Hematology-Oncology at Penn Presbyterian Medical Center, while building on a strong foundation of excellence in patient care, education and clinical research. Leadership responsibilities will include coordinating and integrating the core mission areas within the Abramson Cancer Center and the Cancer Service Line across the breath of Penn Medicine. Rank will be commensurate with experience.
