Salary: $145,000.00 USD Annually - $155,000.00 USD Annually
Description:
The Judge Group is seeking a degreed EHS Director in the Chicago, IL area! The Director will provide leadership in developing and managing strategies and activities on a global scale. The qualified individual provides direction in the creation and implementation of strategic and tactical objectives that ensure global compliance. He or she is a master level practitioner. The Director will provide daily evaluation and management of the department staff members.

Responsibilities:

• Leads and administers global Environmental, Occupational Health and Safety policies and programs
• Reports to the VP of Global Engineering
• Keeps a comprehensive understating of Occupational EHS standards, requirement and practices
• Manages large, complex initiatives
• Manages the audit program within the facility
• Cultivates strategies to augment the Occupational EHS regulatory compliance and program effectiveness
• Acts as a top notch company consultant and outside engineering representative
• Handles regulatory agencies and legal support to assess and solve worldwide matters
• Develops strategies that provide Occupational EHS solutions to achieve global results
• Communicates effectively with all levels of the organization
• Creates and implements department metrics
• Provides training and direction for department personnel to accurately report results
• Provides development and coaching for employees to ensure program compliance
• Prepares clear directions to share relevant information to necessary parties related to the program
• Improves the program on a continuous basis
• Works with global personnel to ensure regulatory compliance goals are met
• Guides Corporate Strategy and Real Estate groups with the divestiture and acquisition of businesses and properties
• Creates and assesses department standards and plans
• Organizes efforts to ensure program is successfully implemented
• Selects field resources to develop department talent
• Directs and coaches the professional development of all department professionals
• Ensures implementation of Occupational EHS technology

Requirements:

• Bachelor's Degree required
• 15+ years of related experience
• 5+ year's Environmental, Occupational Health & Safety leadership experience with responsibility
• Occupational EHS Safety knowledge required
• Ability to propose, rank and manage programs that ensure continuous improvement and compliance
• Highest level understanding of plant manufacturing environment
• Prior experience as a Change Agent
• Food or beverage industry experience is highly desired
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Outstanding problem-solving, analytical, and decision making skills
• Ability to use data to drive decisions
• Basic Financial Acumen experience required in order to make informed program business decisions
• Experience with MS Office required
• Ability to travel up to 40% required
