Associate Attorney (Employment Litigation)

A well-established law firm is seeking an experienced Employment Attorney to join its San Diego office. The ideal candidate will have 2-4 years of employment litigation experience, with expertise in wage and hour class actions, PAGA cases, and managing and analyzing records to assess compliance issues. We are looking for a team player who is a self-starter with excellent writing and oral advocacy skills, strong organizational abilities, and significant experience in discovery and law and motion practice.

Responsibilities

  • Analyze client needs, identify solutions, and determine case strategies
  • Argue motions in court and represent clients during legal proceedings
  • Advise clients on successful outcomes and plan courses of action
  • Conduct research and draft pleadings, briefs, and motions
  • Draft legal correspondence, motions, and briefs
  • Communicate effectively with partners, associates, paralegals, and clients

Qualifications
  • Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school
  • Active member in good standing with the ABA (American Bar Association)
  • Successful completion of the bar exam
  • Effective communication and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to collaborate with partners and attorneys to serve client needs
  • 1,850 annual billable hour target

Compensation
  • Salary range: $130,000 - $190,000, depending on experience level (2-4 years, 5-7 years, or 8+ years)
