Engineer Lead

Location: This position will work a hybrid model (remote and office). Ideal candidates will live within 50 miles of the following PulsePoint location. 2103 Staples Mill Rd, Richmond, VA 23230

Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:00 am to 5:00 pm

The Engineer Lead will manage the work intake process for environment build-outs, new applications, and ensure the user incidents are addressed as they come into the queue.

How you will make an impact:

• Identify system glitches and proactively catch and address any root cause to eliminate the issue.
• Validate sufficient environment resource and capacity on the system to avoid any user interruption.
• Maintain vendor and customer relationship for all the vendor product licenses.
• Validate release and deployment configuration and assist application teams in deploying the code successfully.
• Ensure that the system alerts are configured and monitored in adherence with capacity.
• Ensure system builders/Infrastructure owners are validated and updated for inventory purposes in the system.
• Configure DevOps implementation through CI/CD pipeline for seamless automatic deployments in all lower and higher environments.
• Enable infrastructure as code for speed and consistency.

Minimum Requirements:

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related field. Seven (7) years of experience in related occupation(s).

Additional Requirements:

Seven (7) years of experience must include:
• Seven (7) years of software engineering experience.
• Five (5) years of experience with Java technologies.
• Four (4) years of experience with Oracle, SQL, or Mongo DB.
• Five (5) years of experience with Unix, Linux, or Windows OS.
• Four (4) years of experience with Dev-Ops tools including Bamboo, Bitbucket, Artifactory, or Argo CD.
• Five (5) years of experience with JAVA, J2EE, UNIX shell scripting, or Python scripting.
• Four (4) years of experience with containerization software products including RedHat OpenShift and OpenShift Service Mesh.
• Five (5) years of experience using monitoring tools including Splunk, Introscope, SQL Sentry, or Oracle Enterprise Manager.
