Job Responsibilities:

• Work in the field at building construction sites as a Quality Assurance Representative; this involves observing, documenting and reporting on construction work, and performing construction materials testing.
• Inspecting construction and materials for compliance with drawings and specifications.
• Materials include reinforced concrete, masonry, structural steel, spray applied proofing, soils, earthwork, and foundations.
• Field testing of plastic concrete, grout, mortar, block, fireproofing, soils, non-destructive testing of welds, and high strength bolting installation.
• Communicate / coordinate with engineers, contractors, and clients.
• Work construction hours (which may include overtime).

Qualifications:

• BS in Civil Engineering or related field of study.
• Recent or upcoming graduates are encouraged to apply.
• Reliable Transportation.
• FE / EIT in NJ is a plus.
• NJ DCA Special Inspector certification (e.g.: Structural Steel, Masonry, Concrete, etc.) is a plus.
• Experience working on construction projects is a plus!
• Ability to read drawings and specifications, write reports, create sketches, and communicate technical details.
• Ability to work independently and in a team environment with minimal supervision.
• Dependable, motivated, able to multi-task and prioritizing multiple assignments.
• Good written and verbal communication skills.
