Job Description

FORMULATION SCIENTIST

  • Development and preparation of prototype formulations (solutions, suspensions, dispersions,etc.) for exploratory studiesforin-vivo models. Thisactivityincludes development ofbothoraland parenteraldosage formson small scale.
  • Routine preparation of solution and suspension formulations for use in preclinical studies.
  • Measurement of key active compound and formulation properties (such as solubilitydissolution, permeation, stability, self association, etc)
  • Assessment of the chemical and physicalproperties of small molecules
  • Assessment of the performance of prototype formulations using in-vitro tests (non-sink dissolution, precipitation, etc.).
  • Identifying potential stability and performance issues with prototype formulations and investigate solutions.
  • Development of protocols for preparation of formulations atother sites, internal and external
  • Shipment of samples toothersites and external sites.
  • Routine lab support (pH meter calibration, mobile phase preparation, etc)

Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in science or other related degree concentration, orequivalent directly-related experience
  • At least one year experience in formulation development
  • Excellent communication (oral and written) and attention to detail Ability to work independently and as part of a team, self-motivation, adaptability, andapositive attitude

Additional Information
