The HRIS Specialist will assist and support the implementation, integration and operations of the Human Resources Information System, Workday and other ancillary HR systems. This position serves as a primary point of contact for employees throughout the organization regarding HRIS systems questions. Work collaboratively with Workday Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) and teams as they plan improvements, address system concerns and establish best practices.

Essential Responsibilities:

  • Provide technical support, troubleshooting, and guidance to employees. Serve as a primary Workday queue resource and respond or distribute to appropriate areas for completion.
  • Review and process various Workday HR Administrator tasks, including final approval on hires; job, data and location changes; manage delegation changes, cancel/rescind tasks; etc.
  • Maintain supervisory organization hierarchy and roles.
  • Meet with Workday SMEs on an ongoing basis to understand their needs, discuss system changes in the Workday release roadmap, and resolve issues. Make recommendations on best practices and provide options to address needs.
  • Work collaboratively with SMEs and other Workday team members to optimize HRIS processes and identify system improvements and enhancements. Research issues and new projects to determine system options and participate in deciding how to best complete requirements/goals. Propose and implement approved projects, changes and process improvements.
  • Complete regular review of training materials and update as needed to ensure accuracy, especially in conjunction with new releases.
  • Assist in development of custom reports for ongoing customer needs.
  • Continuously increases HR knowledge, HR laws and regulations, Workday and integrations knowledge.
  • Participate in Workday user group meetings, trainings and conferences.
  • Perform HR system testing for system implementations, upgrades, patches, and enhancements.
  • Manage approved security permissions, access, and similar system operations and settings changes for users.
  • Build project plans and ensure adherence to schedule and other specifications.

Supporting Responsibilities:
  • Meet department and company performance and attendance expectations.
  • Follow the PacificSource privacy policy and HIPAA laws and regulations concerning confidentiality and security of protected health information.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

SUCCESS PROFILE

Work Experience: Minimum of 3 years of experience working in Human Resources required. Prior HR-system experience including implementation, administration, configuration, testing, troubleshooting, and/or providing technical support required. Prior experience with Workday strongly preferred.

Education, Certificates, Licenses: Degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or other related field or equivalent years of experience required.

Knowledge: Ability to work well under changing priorities and deadlines, with frequent interruptions, while maintaining a high customer service standard. Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and remain organized and on project timelines. Strong communication skills to engage with all levels of the organization. Ability to create, read and interpret data reporting created by the HRIS; analyze data and identify trends; present information clearly and concisely; suggest improvements. Strong knowledge or experience in the use of software applications to conduct daily business functions required, super-user capability preferred. Must have a passion for customer service (internal and external).

Environment: Work inside in a general office setting with ergonomically configured equipment. Travel is required approximately 5% of the time.

Physical Requirements: Stoop and bend. Sit and/or stand for extended periods of time while performing core job functions. Repetitive motions to include typing, sorting and filing. Light lifting and carrying of files and business materials. Ability to read and comprehend both written and spoken English. Communicate clearly and effectively.
