Position Summary

This position is responsible for identifying training needs, implementing and delivering training programs, and evaluating their effectiveness. Presenting teaching plans, instructional materials, and ensure employees' growth aligns with company goals. Communicate and instruct effectively with a variety of audiences. Knowledge of instructional design, learning principles, and talent management.

Responsibilities

  • Translate and document standardized training programs / material and prepare teaching plans.
  • Maintain, track and coordinate training schedules.
  • Assess training effectiveness to ensure incorporation of taught skills and techniques into employees work behavior.
  • Verify that proper training equipment is inventoried, used and maintained.
  • Present, demonstrate and communicate in a classroom setting and on the production floor. Instructional information to a variety of audiences.
  • Ensure that all work performed complies with Sargent procedures, drawings, work instructions, Foreign Object Debris (FOD), tooling control standards and quality policies, as well as customer and regulatory requirements.
  • Build, setup and train on component assemblies and acceptance test procedures.
  • Work with Floor Supervisor and Manufacturing Engineer to improve the assembly and test process.
  • Periodically evaluate ongoing programs to ensure that they reflect any changes.
  • Mentor less experienced Technicians and Manufacturing Engineers.
  • Provide feedback on employees training performance to supervisors.

Minimum Qualifications
  • High School Diploma or GED required.
  • Experience to included but not limited to, manufacturing operations, inspection, assembly, test, repair/overhaul or troubleshooting of hydraulic or pneumatic systems.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
  • A basic understanding of hydraulic, pneumatic, or electrical equipment components and system design.
  • Ability to lift 40lbs. Obtain help when lifting over 40lbs or when lifting is awkward for one person to lift safely.
  • Ability to use hand tools, read and understand blueprints, engineering drawings and training documents.
  • Mechanical ability demonstrated through employment, projects, or hobbies.
  • Ability to work effectively and cooperatively within a multifaceted team.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with a variety of audiences, to include customers.
  • Must be detail oriented and complete work accurately.
  • Must be a U.S. Citizen

Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience in communicating to a diverse audience.
  • Associate's degree.
