Job Title: Information Security Engineer (Contingent)

Location: Charlotte, NC

Job Description: As an Information Security Engineer in this contingent role, you will:

• Consult on complex initiatives with broad impact and large-scale planning for Information Security Engineering.
• Review and analyze multifaceted, large-scale, or long-term Information Security Engineering challenges requiring in-depth evaluation of multiple factors, including intangibles or unprecedented factors.
• Contribute to resolving complex situations requiring a solid understanding of the function, policies, procedures, and compliance requirements.
• Strategically collaborate and consult with client personnel.

Required Qualifications:

• 5+ years of Information Security Engineering experience, or equivalent demonstrated through work, consulting experience, training, military experience, or education.

Desired Qualifications:

• 5+ years of technology management experience (managing software upgrades, ensuring availability, etc.)
• 5+ years of application security experience
• 5+ years of software development or scripting experience
• Experience with Agile and CI/CD technologies such as Jira, Kubernetes, Jenkins, etc.
• Knowledge of cloud technologies, particularly GCP/Azure.
• Experience integrating application security tools into Enterprise vulnerability management systems (e.g., ServiceNow)
• Thorough understanding of secure application design principles, including authentication, authorization/least privilege, logging, encryption, data masking, data retention, and secure data transmission.
• Assist in developing and managing security policies, standards, procedures, and guidelines.
• Design, document, plan, coordinate, and implement complex solutions.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Leadership and management experience.
• Solid understanding of Agile and Modern Engineering practices.
• Solid understanding of vulnerability management tools (Threadfix/ServiceNow AVR, Brinqa, or similar technologies).
• Emotionally intelligent, engaged, responsible, organized, self-disciplined, and self-motivated.
• Strong attention to detail and dedication to growing capabilities in engineers.
• Excellent organizational and time management skills.
• Ability to identify and use empirical data to identify areas of improvement.
• Strong communication, analytical, and critical thinking skills.
• Advanced influencing and relationship management skills.
• Understanding of how to operate in a product organization.
