Legal Financial Analyst - Law Firm - Hybrid

Unique opportunity for financial research analysts, someone who is passionate about working with number, to join the New York City Office of a well-known law firm . In this role you will use your data analysis and research skills to provide valuable insights about potential new cases and you will also provide support to the firm's litigation teams on active cases.

JOB DESCRIPTION/DUTIES:

• Calculate losses in securities actions for clients and public holders of securities
• Assist with research and analysis of securities actions
• Assessment of classwide damages
• Obtain and organize SEC filings, analyst reports, news articles, conference calls, insider trading reports
• Monitor news and dockets for active securities cases
• Download client portfolio information from secure custodial bank sites
• Assist with periodic reports to clients

REQUIREMENTS/QUALIFICATIONS:

• Bachelor's degree
• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel
• Research and investigative skills
• Working knowledge of Bloomberg, Westlaw, Thomson, SEC filings, PACER
• Background in Finance (practical experience or education), and at least one year of professional experi
• Strong familiarity/experience with financial markets, public companies and stock exchanges
• Experience with calculating stock losses, especially related to Securities law is a plus

WORK ENVIRONMENT/WORK DETAILS:

• This is a full-time, non-exempt position based in New York City
• This is a hybrid role (3 days in-office (Tuesdays and Wednesdays required); 2 days work-from-home)
• All employees must be vaccinated
