POSITION SUMMARY:

The Maintenance & Engineering Systems Administrator will be responsible for managing and supporting the computer systems and software applications used by the Technical Operations teams. This role requires expertise in maintaining, troubleshooting, and optimizing the systems that support critical operations within the aviation and cargo sectors. The position involves managing data related to aircraft maintenance, regulatory compliance, and system integration to ensure the efficient and effective operation of the TechOps functions. Initially, this role will also provide the design and expertise to ensure a successful implementation and Go Live of the Trax system on the first attempt.

The M&E System Administrator Job Responsibilities include the following, but not limited to:

• Maintain, configure, and optimize Maintenance and Engineering management systems, including but not limited to Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP), Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS), and Aircraft Maintenance Tracking systems.

• Provide day-to-day support for system users, including troubleshooting issues, resolving technical problems, and responding to inquiries related to system functionality.

• Manage user's account maintenance on TRAX and other software and user licenses monitoring and updates.

• Work closely with engineering and IT teams to identify opportunities for system improvements and implement new features to optimize operational efficiency.

• Monitor system performance and recommend upgrades or enhancements to improve functionality and user experience.

• Act as the primary point of contact for technical issues affecting the Maintenance and Engineering systems, including systems downtime and failures.

• Lead root cause analysis and resolution of any system-related issues to minimize operational disruption.

• Serve as a primary point of contact between Trax, FlyDocs, and other solutions and Amerijet.

• Monitor and manage ticket issuance and resolution for program issues or discrepancies.

• Collaborate with internal teams and third-party vendors to configure, integrate, and customize systems to meet operational requirements.

• Manage data flow between various engineering and maintenance systems to ensure accurate, real-time reporting and compliance with industry standards and regulations.

• Manage regular software updates and patches to ensure systems are up-to-date and secure.

Required Qualifications, Experience and Skills:

• Minimum 3-5 years of experience in systems administration or IT support within the aviation, cargo, or manufacturing industries.

• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills, with the ability to analyze and resolve complex system issues.

• Familiarity with cloud-based systems and technologies.

• Previous experience with large-scale system migrations or upgrades

• Able to work effectively at all levels of the organization with ability to convey a correct sense of urgency based on customer or business impact.

Preferred Qualifications, Experience and Skills:

• Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Engineering, Aviation Maintenance, or related field.

• Relevant certifications in system administration (e.g., Microsoft Certified Systems Administrator, ITIL) are a plus.

• Hands-on experience with CMMS, ERP systems, or similar software applications used in maintenance and engineering environments.

• Knowledge of aviation maintenance processes, regulatory requirements (FAA, EASA), and industry standards is highly desirable.

• Extensive working knowledge of Microsoft operating systems and desktop software such as Microsoft Office suite

• Proficient in database management, data analysis, and reporting tools.

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively across departments.

• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills

• Basic IT network knowledge required.

• Professional appearance and behavior required including, but not limited to punctuality, positive attitude, and reliability.

• Excellent communication and written skills are vital, should be as comfortable with people as with systems and technology.

• Must be able to work well with others in a team as well as independently, collaboration skills are vital.

• High level of accountability and can instill a sense of credibility when speaking with customers.

• Advanced problem solver with the ability to sort through complex issues and conduct comparative analysis of multiple solutions.

• Excellent organizational and multi-tasking skills - prioritizes and performs a variety of concurrent tasks with efficiency and minimal direction.

• Ability to follow written and verbal instructions.

• Must be detail oriented.

• Must be a quick learner and adaptable to change in process or required activities.

Supervisory Responsibilities:

This position will not have direct reports but may require providing training for new/existing team members.

Language Skills:

The employee must possess strong interpersonal and communications skills, be able to effectively present information, respond to questions, and proficiently write reports and business correspondence.

Physical Activities and Requirements of the Position:

Sedentary work; sitting most of the time. While performing the duties of this job, the employee frequently works in an office environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets and fax machines. Exerts up to 30 lbs. of force occasionally for office supplies and equipment.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk or hear. The employee frequently is required to sit; stand; walk; use hands to finger, handle or feel; and reach with hands and arms; move about the facility. Some light physical effort required.

Must be able to work well under pressure. Domestic/International travel and overtime are required when necessary.
