BUILDINGS AND GROUNDS
POSITION SUMMARY:
This position is a discretionary position. This position includes, but not limited to, all repairs, clean-up, and preventative maintenance needed to the keep buildings and property in good appearance and repair.
Responsibilities:
- Maintain power and manual doors and all building related structures including, but not limited to, floors, walls, roofs, ceilings, parking lots, and sewer drains.
- Complete new construction projects, installation projects, and/or improvement of buildings, equipment, and parking lots.
- Must have knowledge of hydraulics pneumatics, welding, carpentry, and basic wiring.
- Complete all necessary paperwork and record keeping.
- Keep all work areas clean.
- Perform general housekeeping duties in the department.
- Comply with all safety, food safety, GMP and SQF requirements.
- Perform all positions of job rotation as needed.
- Perform any other work as assigned by management.
Physical Requirements: The successful candidate(s) must be willing and able to perform the physical requirements of the job with or without a reasonable accommodation.
- Ability and willingness to work outdoors in adverse weather conditions.
- Ability and willingness to use both hands for rapid mental muscular coordination, simultaneously.
- Ability and willingness to reach high and low levels, frequently.
- Ability and willingness to push/pull/lift with arms below waist/at shoulder/above shoulder level up to 40 pounds frequently.
- Ability and willingness to lift with arms up to floor to waist and waist to shoulder up to 40 pounds.
- Ability and willingness to constantly stand/stoop/walk/bend up to 10 hours
- Ability and willingness to climb stairs.
- Ability and willingness to work in wet conditions and cold temperatures at 10 degrees.
Requirements:
- Minimum of a High School Diploma, or equivalent level of education, combined with successfully completed courses from a technical college, or equivalent level of education, in welding, basic electrical wiring, hydraulics, or electromechanical power transmission.
- Minimum of 6 months of mechanic work experience documented in the work history section of the application or be a graduate of an industrial maintenance training program (can be a combination of employers as long as experience is at least 6 months).
- Ability and willingness to perform basic math functions (i.e.: addition, subtraction, multiplication, division).
- Ability and willingness to work overtime and/or weekends as needed.
- Ability and willingness to work on demand in emergency situations.
- Able to complete all paperwork CMMS/SAP functions.
Rehire Minimum waiting period of 90 days. START TIME: 1:00 p.m. until finished
