Job purpose
The Industrial Maintenance Technician II is an integral part of the American Products Facilities Maintenance team. The Maintenance team works together to ensure all equipment is in good working order and the facilities are kept nice, clean, and operable.
The Industrial Maintenance Technician II is responsible for daily attention and repair to all equipment, machinery, tools, including but not limited to scheduled PMs and the general facilities that houses American Products and its subsidiaries.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
• Utilizes a variety of troubleshooting methods to locate causes of malfunctions in machinery and equipment.
• Able to perform all PMs without supervision.
• Working knowledge of current CMMS system.
• Correctly ID electrical main components and power.
• Dismantles machines and equipment to gain access to problem areas.
• Inspects and measures parts to detect wear, misalignment, or other issues;
• Locates damaged air and hydraulic pipes on machines, and measures, cuts, threads, installs new pipe.
• Cleans work area, machines, tools, and equipment;
• Performs other duties, as assigned.
• Completion of 1st year maintenance certification program.
• Enrolled in 2nd year of program.
• Ability to diagnose and repair common plant issues.
• Diagnose electrical issues IE: motors, fuses, switches, breakers.
• Diagnose 480 3 phase/ 230 3 phase/ single phase 120 + DC
Qualifications
Education
• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• Industrial Maintenance certification or enrolled in certification course is desired but not required unless in American Products DEV. Program.
Specialized Knowledge and Experience
• Operates metalworking tools such as lathe, drill press, precision measuring tools and grinder to make or repair parts and can also weld.
• Electrical, up to 480v three phase.
• Pneumatic and hydraulic knowledge.

• Must be able to interact professionally, appropriately, and courteously with customers, co-workers and other outside parties.
