The Manager, Engineering Services is responsible for the direction and management of a team of technical staff on assigned engineering projects. In cooperation with Sales, this role will also lead business development to ensure project pipeline is maintained and grows.

JOB FUNCTIONS %Time
- Manages a team of technical personnel and participate in executing the following activities: Lead engineering design for studies, basic and detailed engineering for mineral and chemical processing plants for the recovery of base and precious metals. Assign project teams and define work schedules. 20
- Manage the financial performance of the business to ensure sales and profit KPIs for the business are met. 10
- Manage and mentor the technical team, identifying strengths and addressing experience gaps. 10
- Responsible for business development and for interacting with the SGS sales team to generate new sales. Assist Sales team in understanding and defining technical bid content. 30
- Participate in technical meetings and professional organizations. Present technical papers and/or participate is business focused symposia. 5
- Assists in the production of project scope documents (drawings and specifications) for projects, and reviews reports for technical content. 5
- Review and interpret Requests for Quotation (RFQ's) for engineering projects. Define scope of work/project objectives based on RFQ received. Coordinate the preparation of proposals, and review prior to issuing. 15
- Interface with SGS support services for Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, Information Technology, Accounting, Finance and Legal. 5

QualificationsEDUCATION AND EXPERIENCEA bachelor's degree in engineering from an accredited college or university. (Disciplines - Metallurgy, Mineral Processing, Chemical, or related discipline) Required
- 5 -10 years' experience in a lead Engineering function. Required
- Five plus years of supervisory experience preferred. Preferred
LICENSES / CERTIFICATIONS- Professional Engineering (PE) registration - Required
