Position Overview:
This position is responsible for driving and overseeing the sales strategy, execution, and growth within the correspondent lending channel. The incumbent manages a team of sales professionals responsible for building and nurturing relationships with correspondent lending partners and collaborates with cross-functional teams to achieve sales targets. This position offers a hybrid work option (up to 50% remote), and is open to any Compeer office location in Illinois, Minnesota and Wisconsin.

Essential Functions:

  • In partnership with Director Lending, develops and designs practices, processes and procedures for achieving and exceeding goals.
  • Promotes a positive work environment that leverages the talents and abilities of team members in achieving organizational and team goals.
  • Works closely with internal teams, including underwriting, operations, and marketing, to ensure a seamless partner experience.
  • Uses market knowledge and feedback from direct reports to develop ideas, strategies and suggestions for program enhancement.
  • Drives business growth by establishing new partner relationships, expanding volume with existing partners, and meeting set targets. Assesses new opportunities and seeks innovative methods for producing solutions to ensure business unit success.
  • Coaches and develops the team to ensure they are focused on building relationships with partners who align well with Compeer's mission and vision.

Minimum Qualifications & Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
  • Bachelor's degree in business, finance, or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and experience sufficient to perform the essential functions of the job. MBA or equivalent is a plus.
  • Minimum of 7 years of experience in sales within the mortgage or correspondent lending industry.
  • 3-5 years of leadership and management experience, preferred.
  • Knowledge of federal and general state laws, regulations and compliance requirements specific to the financial industry and Farm Credit.
  • Strategic and innovative.
  • Leadership skills to select, evaluate, engage, motivate, mentor, train, delegate, reward and lead remote team members.
  • Strong listening, written and verbal communication skills, with ability to communicate at all levels of the organization.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively with other teams to achieve goals and represent the business.
  • Proven ability to perform satisfactorily in all Sales accountability areas required.
  • Must be motivated to reach challenging sales goals along with maintaining and increasing knowledge of effective and creative team building.
  • Must possess advanced interpersonal, collaboration, communication, problem solving, analytical, organizational, and presentation skills.
  • Strong decision making, negotiating, influencing and strategic selling skills required.
  • Highly proficient in computer software applications (Salesforce, MS Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, Encompass, TPO Connect, etc.).
  • Valid driver's license.
  • Must be authorized to work for any employer in the US. Compeer is unable to sponsor or take over sponsorship of an employment visa at this time.
