Meet the team:

The Mesa Chem Lab prepares solutions for commercial Cal Check and Membrane for both G6 and G7. We also prepare test solutions for the Engineering Lab and commercial product testing. As a small department all members are an integral part of our daily success and play an important role in day-to-day tasks. We strive for perfection and 100% dependability as all Dexcom products start with the Chem Lab!

Where you come in:

  • You will manage data and inventory trackers.
  • You will manage raw material and non-raw material inventories by applying the concepts of FIFO, 6S, Min/Max
  • You will account for consumption and scraps to prevent discrepancies.
  • You will be responsible for placing, confirming, and verifying the necessary routine/emergency orders of materials from the Supermarket and Warehouse to enable the area to execute flawlessly.
  • You will ensure that materials brought into the lab are sanitized prior to entering the lab.
  • Using Camstar, you will review all solution lots and make corrections prior to QA review.
  • You will combine child lots, complete verification, and move the lots to QA.
  • You will collaborate with EHS, Engineering, MFG Operations, Supermarket, RDC, Buyers and other stakeholders.
  • You will work with Finance to perform physical audits.
  • You will perform a variety of administrative and clerical support tasks for the Chemistry department, along with other duties as assigned.

What makes you successful:
  • You have a positive attitude, are dependable and a team player.
  • Your proficient in data entry and efficient in using Oracle, Camstar, Apex, Agile, Excel, and other Microsoft Office apps.
  • You bring an attention to detail mindset, proactive attitude to problem solving and a professional approach to your daily tasks.
  • You understand how to calculate consumption rates for materials used in the lab including run-out dates for materials and how to trigger a CFQ with Engineering
  • You can create presentations and reports for management and Engineering showing the consumption and status of various materials in the lab.
  • You understand the 6s principles and how to implement them, along with basic inventory management and inventory flow tools (such as a kanban system).

Experience and Education Requirements:
  • Typically requires a minimum of 4-6 years of related experience and High School diploma/certificate or equivalent.
