Associate Attorney-
Focus: Medical Malpractice Defense (85%) and Premises Liability (15%)
Work Setup: In office then flexes to Hybrid (4-5 days in-office for the first 3-4 months, then 3 days in-office and 2 remote).
About the Role:
- Manage a caseload of 15-17 medical malpractice and premises liability cases with minimal supervision
- Take and defend depositions, including with doctors and nurses
- Draft and prepare motions (including motions for summary judgment). MSJ writing samples required
- Participate in mediations alongside a partner
- Prepare for trials
- Minimum 5 years of litigation experience (medical malpractice defense is essential)
- Ability to work independently and take ownership of case files is critical
Billable Hours: 160 hours/month (1,920 annually)
Salary Range: $130,000-$165,000 (depending on experience, 3-5 years preferred)
Bonuses: Discretionary, typically reviewed at year-end
