Position Overview:
The Network Services department is seeking an experienced Network Engineer to support enterprise-level firewall and load-balancer infrastructure. The Network Engineer will be responsible for designing, deploying, troubleshooting, and optimizing firewalls and load-balancers to ensure robust, secure network connectivity and functionality across the organization. This role is integral to maintaining secure and efficient network operations and involves both hands-on configuration and collaboration with external technology vendors.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage and document firewall and load-balancer architecture and configurations.
  • Design, deploy, and troubleshoot enterprise firewalls and load-balancers, with a focus on troubleshooting isolation and issue remediation.
  • Work with firewall and load-balancer configurations to optimize deployment and ensure compatibility with new applications requiring F5 virtual servers, pools, monitoring, and firewall NAT/security policies.
  • Conduct real-time log analysis and manage support cases with external technology vendors.
Top Skills:
  • 4+ years of hands-on experience with enterprise Palo Alto Firewalls, F5 BIG-IP Load-Balancers, and Cisco switch technologies.
Preferred:
  • Knowledge of advanced routing protocols, including OSPF, BGP, IPsec, and VPN technologies.
