Innova Solutions is immediately hiring a Patient Representative

  • Position type: Contract- 3months
  • Location: Syracuse, New York
  • Job/ Shift Hours: Monday-Friday 8am to 430pm and would need to be willing to stay until 5pm on any "busier days"- they may need them to (possibly 2-3 days/week)
As a Patient Representative, you will be required to have:
  • Greets customers in a polite, prompt, helpful manner and provides any necessary instruction or direction to them.
  • Obtains, verifies and updates patient information, collects co-pays and other payments, provides any necessary forms needing completion i.e. (Hipaa/Consents; Financial paperwork) and obtains signatures as necessary. Reconciles payments each day.
  • Communicates with other billing or medical staff as needed for appropriate patient support either verbally or via computer.
  • Answers phone in pleasant manner, screens calls, takes detailed messages and provides information, dealing with customer needs expeditiously.
  • Assists with referral coordination by pt. instruction and direction, as well as entering and attaching appropriate insurance referrals to appointments.
  • Attends meetings as required.
  • Maintains a clean, organized area.
  • Supplements office staff as reception tasks permit by assisting with photocopying, computer input/typing, scheduling, scanning and faxing or mailing outpatient paperwork accurately from work from home staff.
  • Exhibits core Fundamentals throughout their day with each interaction with patients, families or co-workers.
The ideal candidate must have:
  • High school diploma or GED.
  • Minimum of two years' experience in customer service setting, preferably one year receptionist experience in a medical office.
  • Knowledge of medical terminology.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Pay Range*: $19 - $23 per hour

*Pay range offered to a successful candidate will be based on several factors, including the candidate's education, work experience, work location, specific job duties, certifications, etc.
