Develop genome-editor based treatments for autism and Alzheimer's disease. Work will entail use of gene therapy vectors, adeno-associated virus (AAV), Crispr/cas, histology with mouse models, and high throughput targeted amplicon sequence library preparation and analysis.
Minimum Education and Experience Requirements:PhD
Required Qualifications, Competencies, and Experience:PhD and at least 1 year of experience with genome editors and analysis of editing outcomes from high-throughput sequencing data.
Preferred Qualifications, Competencies, and Experience:Expertise with amplicon-sequencing library preparation and analysis, mouse neuron culture, transduction of neurons with AAV vectors, histology, molecular cloning and construct development.
