RESPONSIBILITIES:
Kforce has a client that is seeking a Procurement Specialist in Lehi, UT.Summary:We are seeking a detail-oriented and strategic Procurement Specialist to join our team. The Procurement Specialist will be responsible for reporting and oversight, savings calculations, raw material strategy, should cost modeling, and supplier quality management. Key Responsibilities:Reporting and Oversight:- Develop and maintain comprehensive procurement reports to monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) and track procurement activities
- Procurement Specialist will ensure accuracy and timeliness of data reporting and provide insights to support decision-making processes
- Conduct regular audits to ensure compliance with procurement policies and procedures
- Analyze procurement data to identify cost-saving opportunities and track realized savings
- As a Procurement Specialist, you will develop and implement strategies to achieve cost reduction targets
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure savings initiatives are aligned with overall business objectives
- Analyze market trends and conduct research to develop effective raw material procurement strategies; Including risk mitigation/hedging strategies
- Evaluate supplier capabilities and negotiate contracts to secure the best terms for raw material purchases
- Monitor inventory levels and coordinate with production teams to ensure timely availability of raw materials
- Develop and maintain should cost models to estimate the cost of goods and services
- Use should cost models to evaluate supplier quotes and negotiate pricing
- Continuously improve cost models based on market intelligence and supplier feedback
- Establish, maintain, and audit sourcing and supplier records to ensure compliant transactions
REQUIREMENTS:
- Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in procurement or supply chain management
- Knowledge of procurement best practices and market trends
- Strong analytical skills with proficiency in data analysis tools and software
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills
- Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams
- The ideal candidate will have a strong analytical mindset, excellent problem-solving skills, and experience in procurement operations
- Experience with should cost modeling and supplier quality management is preferred
The pay range is the lowest to highest compensation we reasonably in good faith believe we would pay at posting for this role. We may ultimately pay more or less than this range. Employee pay is based on factors like relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, location, performance, union contract and business needs. This range may be modified in the future.
We offer comprehensive benefits including medical/dental/vision insurance, HSA, FSA, 401(k), and life, disability & ADD insurance to eligible employees. Salaried personnel receive paid time off. Hourly employees are not eligible for paid time off unless required by law. Hourly employees on a Service Contract Act project are eligible for paid sick leave.
