We are looking for a PM to join our team to drive the future of brokerage technology. As a Brokerage experience PM, you will be responsible for leading a cross-functional team building the future of experience that powers operators across our brokerage line of business .

What the Candidate Will Do

  • Define the roadmap and lead the execution of brokerage technology.
  • Internalize and deeply understand Uber Freight's mission and strategies, as well as the mission and objectives of your specific team
  • Distill vision and strategy for the team, get all members of cross-functional team on board
  • Be incredibly truth-seeking. Collect whatever data is necessary to inform product direction, whether in the form of competitive intel, rider behavior, or other business metrics. Solicit and welcome critical feedback.
  • Work closely with the broader cross functional team, including Engineering, Data Science, Design, UX Research, Operations to successfully build and launch products.
  • Drive innovation, definition, deliverables planning (roadmap), and design of entirely new Uber Freight products and product features to deliver against team and company goals. Requires challenging all members of the cross-functional teams (engineering, design, etc.) to think boldly and creatively and then to funnel that energy into concrete products and execution plans.
  • Bias to data & action with an eye for impact; while still remaining open to critical feedback.
  • Monitor and measure launched products and feed insights back into the product development process to drive growth.
  • Strong stakeholder management
  • Very strong written & oral communication skills.

    Basic Qualifications
    • BS in science, engineering, business or a closely related field
    • Minimum 3 years of product management experience OR 2+ years of product management experience with 2+ years of experience in top-tier strategy consulting, investment banking, or strategy for a major tech company

    Preferred Qualifications
    • Experience with Freight industry
    • Constant motivator; you take time to learn the team’s needs and you strive to ensure each team member contributes effectively towards measured goals.
    • Strong independent business judgment; you constantly question size, scope, and impact of the team’s work, continuously prioritizing the important problems.
    • Commit to the team; you engage effectively to collaborate with other tech partners and stakeholders - orienting everyone towards shared objectives and ensuring cross-functional efforts deliver results.
    • Masterful execution; ability to independently drive the roadmap for a large team of data scientists and engineers, and dozens of senior stakeholders across functions in a heavily matrixed organization
    • Bias to action; preference to get things done quickly and to move mountains to continuously ship products that are essential for the company
    • Strong proficiency with data & design.
    • Experience working with operations teams.
