Job Description

Strategic impact, knowledge, skills, and scope of responsibility:

  • Creates and maintains daily / weekly / monthly production schedules.
  • Generates and releases ERP (Oracle) work orders daily.
  • Produces daily / weekly / quarterly / annual production reports.
  • Provides direction to Operations team to drive results within the applicable department.
  • Interfaces with Materials team to highlight production changes and discuss material risks.
  • Highlights production concerns with Management and Master Planning to collaboratively drive issue to resolution.
  • This position requires a high degree of integrity and the ability to drive for world-class products.
  • Armorless - Interface with Fiber Vendor customer weekly to review delivery schedules. Proposes adjustments as needed.
  • Armorless - Updates the Master Production Schedule module in Oracle monthly to drive material demand for all Armorless raw material.
  • Cable Handling - Manages the overall inventory and capacity of each container in Cable Handling, Tanks, Creels, Pans. Selects container locations for cable turning as needed.
  • Cable Handling - Coordinates production with Facilities to efficiently plan the upgrade of containers i.e pan modification, creel expansion.
  • Integration - Communicates production needs to Testing, Operations and Wet System Design to support on time shipload deliveries. Tracks, resolves and escalates issues as needed.
  • Integration - Manages the Master Production Schedule module in Oracle to drive material demand for all Integration hardware.
Qualifications:
  • 5+ years manufacturing experience strongly preferred.
  • 3+ years Production Planning / Supply Chain Management experience preferred.
  • Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite applications required - Advanced knowledge in Excel is strongly recommended - MS Project is a plus.
  • Ability to drive teamwork in cross-functional disciplines with peers and Management.
  • Ability to identify business risks and escalate with solutions as necessary.
  • Proficiency and demonstrated ability to make independent, informed decisions.
  • Experience with LEAN Manufacturing principles recommended.
  • Travel less than 10%

  • Wear the proper personal protective equipment for each task, including, but not limited to, safety boots, safety glasses, hearing protection, gloves, dust mask, etc
  • Climb up and down from equipment; climb up and down a ladder and work at heights up to 40'
  • Maintain proper balance while working at elevated level
  • Regularly lift and/or move 40 pounds. Anything heavier than 40 pounds requires additional assistance
  • Ability to reach with hands and arms and use hands to finger, or handle objects, tools and controls
  • Ability to stand, walk, crawl, and climb stairs regularly
  • Ability to bend, squat, stoop, kneel or crouch frequently
  • Ability to talk and/or hear frequently
  • Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus
  • Ability to work both indoors (regularly) and outdoors (occasionally) in all elements
